TD Charitable Foundation Supports PLUS Music Program

Carrie Poole, TD Bank Senior Vice President, joined PLUS Company staff and consumers on Friday, June 18th, to present Adult Education Director, Leni Hodgins with a generous check in support of music education programs. The $5,000 grant is from the TD Charitable Foundation and was presented to the melodious stylings of guest performers “Jazz First”. In addition to the Bach’s Lunches, Palace Theatre performances, private music lessons, Performing Arts Club, and weekly Music Therapy classes, the TD Banknorth Music Hour is held each Friday from 1-2 PM at the Progress Center. This is one of the most popular programs held at The PLUS Company and always garners a huge crowd. Recent performers have included actress/singer Kerry Schneider, singer/pianist Marilyn Valentine, singer/guitarist Richard King, the Harmonica Saints, the Nashua Music Exchange, recording artist Amy Conley, Adult Puppeteer Brenda Weber, New England Voices in Harmony, saxophonist Rex Atwood, Latin guitarist Philip Kane and other local talent. Nearly every consumer served by The PLUS Company, regardless of their level of ability, participates in at least one music program. The PLUS Company’s Music Program is funded completely by through grants and fundraising.
