The PLUS Company’s New Building Dreams Become Reality

August 16, 2010

After nearly 40 years spent building the dreams of individuals with disabilities, The PLUS Company, Inc. is proud to announce one dream has finally become a reality: the dream of buying a new building.  On August 9, The PLUS Company purchased the former NH Health and Human Services building at 19 Chestnut Street in Nashua.  The new building will allow the organization to grow and to create innovative, individualized programming that serve the changing needs of individuals with disabilities and their communities.  The expanded space will also allow The PLUS Company to add more adult education classes and enrichment programs to an already busy calendar.  It will also ensure the nonprofit is able to maximize options for vocational, social and financial independence, and integration for adults with disabilities.

The mission of The PLUS Company, Inc. is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing support and services that maximize independence.  With offices in Nashua, New Hampshire and Lawrence and Tewksbury, Massachusetts, The PLUS Company provides a supportive environment that assists individuals with disabilities to develop skills, increase self-reliance, and become vital, productive members of their community.  The services offered allow individuals to explore residential and life skills, along with enhancing educational, vocational, and social opportunities.  Programs are created with the vision that all people with disabilities have the confidence, dignity, and skills needed to lead lives of independence and quality.
